What You Will Do
We are seeking an experienced Associate Director, Finance to lead our accounting and compliance functions. In this role, you will oversee financial statement reviews, budget and expense analyses, and coordinate month-end closings, all while contributing to process development and continuous improvement. You will also develop and enforce internal policies, collaborate with third-party administrators to ensure adherence to state and federal regulations, and support financial audits. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in both accounting and compliance, demonstrating a keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of financial integrity.
Core Responsibilities:
Organizational Support, and Financial Oversight (60%)
Provide guidance and assistance to the outsourced accounting team on a variety of matters.
Support and assistance to managers across the organization with accounting needs.
Coordinate month-end closing activities, review preliminary financial statements, provide budget and expense analysis as needed.
Manage Internal Compliance (20%)
Develop and oversee compliance with internal policies across the organization.
Provide training and support to employees on compliance-related matters.
Assist with Federal grant compliance as needed (nice to have).
Manage External Compliance (20%)
Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory bodies during inspections and audits.
Work with third-party administrators to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.

Education and experience requirements for this role:
Minimum of five years of experience in a combination of compliance and accounting role.
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration, or a related field
Non-Profit experience
Microsoft Office Suite with advanced knowledge of Excel.
CPA or Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional (preferred).
Sage Intacct (preferred)
Other Requirements
Up to 10% Travel-The role may require occasional travel, usually for meetings, training, or conferences.

At Healthier Generation, each position is aligned with a salary grade determined by market data. For this position, the targeted salary is $93,600.
